Bridge of Allan Inclusivity
Inclusivity in Bridge of Allan
Discover Bridge of Allan is dedicated to making our village a leading example of inclusivity in Scotland. We understand that achieving this requires a proactive approach to inclusivity, which is not only essential but also the right thing to do.
As a community development trust, we are committed to inclusive communication and decision-making, considering diversity in all its forms. To ensure accessibility for everyone, we have integrated an accessibility plugin on our website, located at the top right of the page.
We have also encouraged all local businesses featured on our site to share their inclusivity features, which are noted as a checklist at the end of each profile. Our community is fortunate to have many dedicated individuals working tirelessly to make Bridge of Allan one of the most inclusive places for both residents and visitors.

Jennifer Rutherford founded this organisation to create a more accessible playpark for our children on Fountain Road.
Her fantastic achievements have included raising thousands of pounds to buy more accessible play equipment extend park bench tops to make them suitable for wheelchair users and lay paths, all of which improve the overall accessibility of the park. She is working alongside Stirling Council to increase the number of dropped kerbs throughout the town.
She also has ambitions for installation of a Changing Places toilet in Bridge of Allan. To find out more about Jennifer, the work she does and the family that inspires her work, check out www.qtandcp.com
