Bridge of Allan Inclusivity
Inclusivity in Bridge of Allan
We want Bridge of Allan to be a leading destination of choice in Scotland and we know that to make this happen we need a proactive approach to inclusivity. It’s also just the right thing to do. As an organisation, we’re committed to being inclusive in our communication and decision making, taking account of diversity in all its forms. To help make your visit to Bridge of Allan an easy one, we’ve included an accessibility plug in on our website, located at the top right of the page.
We’ve also asked all businesses featured on our site to tell us about their inclusivity features. You’ll see these noted as a checklist at the end of each piece about them. We’re fortunate to have many incredible people in our town already doing groundbreaking work to help make us one of the most inclusive destinations for visitors and locals alike.

Jennifer Rutherford founded this organisation to create a more accessible playpark for our children on Fountain Road.
Her fantastic achievements have included raising thousands of pounds to buy more accessible play equipment extend park bench tops to make them suitable for wheelchair users and lay paths, all of which improve the overall accessibility of the park. She is working alongside Stirling Council to increase the number of dropped kerbs throughout the town.
She also has ambitions for installation of a Changing Places toilet in Bridge of Allan. To find out more about Jennifer, the work she does and the family that inspires her work, check out www.qtandcp.com
